she's dead, wrapped in plastic

When I was at college I feel like I was maybe a bit more creative and probably enjoyed more creepy and sinister shoots. Like these few images I've posted. Some were for projects but most just for fun/for myself.
I miss it, and look forward to a lot more creative shoots in the future, I just need some willing models :)
(The first 3 are self-portraits)

through the viewfinder

I've been looking through some of my older photographs and found some I took probably about 2-3 years ago. I cant remember where it was but we always used to drive up there for picnics. I tried some 'through the viewfinder' shots. Digital shot through my 35mm Vivitar slr. I find them quite dreamy and wanted to post them as I didnt put many on flickr...

PX 600 Silver Shade

So, I havent posted in a little while because I got a new (shit) job and have been working my butt off. But I recieved an amazing treat through the post... New Polaroid PX 600 film.
So after work one night last week I went to the beach to try out one shot, I taped the box the film came in onto the front of the camera where it shoots out the film so it wasnt exposed to any light, left it for 2 minutes to develop and heres what I got....

I'm pretty pleased with my first ever shot! Cant wait to go somewhere and take more, I'm not wasting any, as you only get 8 exposures!!!

beach

I always moan about hating where I live, because it is shit. But I don't think I could live far away from a beach, its not the greatest but it's nice to know its only a 5-10 minute drive away.

re-scanned cross processed negatives

I decided to re-scan some of my black and white negatives that I never had time to print in college, and ended up scanning in alot of my old cross processed film that I had had processed and printed commerically and then just scanned the print.
I'm so suprised at the quality of colour and brightness that my scanner (CanoScan 8800F) is capable of doing from negatives.

So here are some of those images, including a long lost image that they decided never to print for me assuming it wasnt worth it!

^long lost image^

I will of course be uploading my re-scans of old black and white film in due course, including some that I've never even seen myself!

i'm all out, pt 2

i'm also out of spectra film! last 3 shots for the time being :(

i'm all out

i'm all out of polaroid 600, these are my last 2 shots for the time being

frankie photo album

I should've done this a while ago, when the book first come out. But here it is, my contribution to The Frankie Photo Album made by Australia's Frankie Magazine.

I'm still really pleased about being chosen to show my work in this book, it's a pretty big deal for me. Knowing that people all over the world (hopefully) will have a book with MY photograph printed in it.

I'm hoping I get a lot more of this in the near future, everything thats happened with my photography being published is usually from being seen on Flickr, so I'm thankful for that.

And it's such a lovely book, featuring a lot of amazing photographers which I follow on flickr like Emily Hunt, Annette Pehrsson and, Shelbie Dimond.

Buy the book here!

This is the photo that Frankie featured.
